Duntech GONZO
The GONZO is a heavy-duty 240V sliding gate operator for gates up to 800kg. Diecast aluminium construction, worm gear drive, and a compact footprint that delivers serious lifting capacity without overcomplicating the installation. It runs on mains power with optional battery backup, handles gates up to 6 metres in length, and comes with programmable auto-close timing for properties that need set-and-forget reliability.
Darwin conditions demand simplicity at the core. The GONZO delivers it. Press the button. The gate opens. Press it again. It closes. When something does go wrong, the PC board costs $180-190 to replace. Not the $300-450 charged elsewhere.

The Duntech ULTIMATE SOLAR is Duntech’s top-tier solar gate system for heavy residential and commercial gates up to 800kg. Where mains power is unavailable or impractical, this is the Territory-proven answer. Dual LiFePO4 lithium batteries. A Duntech-engineered solar panel and frame. A deliberately simple motor that opens the gate when you press the button and keeps doing it for 7+ years.
Standard lead-acid batteries last 12-18 months in Darwin conditions. The dual lithium system is rated for 5+ years of service, engineered to handle the heat cycle, not just survive it briefly. The motor runs a single PC board. One board means one failure point, not two. And when something does need attention, parts are stocked locally. You call, we respond.

The SunChaser Frame
Most imported solar frames are undersized for Territory conditions. The SunChaser was designed in Darwin for Darwin. 360-degree tilt and angle adjustment for optimal solar gain at your specific property orientation. Paired specifically with the Duntech MPPT charge regulator so the frame and charging system work together, not alongside each other. Keeps your gate working when the grid does not.

The ULTIMATE SOLAR suits properties where mains power is unavailable or impractical. Rural and semi-rural Top End blocks, driveways set well back from the street, or any site where running a power cable is more trouble than it is worth. Dual LiFePO4 batteries rated for 5+ years of service keep the gate running whether the grid is on or not.

The Installation
We come to your Darwin, Palmerston, or other Top End property, meet you or your representative, and install the system matched to your gate and site.
Every motor in the Duntech gate range was stress-tested under harsh conditions before going to market. You are getting a system that has already proven itself in conditions like the Top End’s.
Your kit includes two remotes as standard. If you need extra remotes at time of installation, you get special pricing, given we will already be on site.
GONZO 240V installations also include a keypad and battery backup at no extra cost. Ultimate Lithium installations include the 70W SunChaser solar panel, SunChaser frame, and Duntech MPPT charge regulator as standard.
The Lifetime Parts Warranty
One condition. You have your motor serviced by Dunwrights every 12 months.
Do that, and your parts are covered for the life of the motor. Labour is charged at standard rates as per terms and conditions. Your annual service call is $199 including GST, collected in advance at the start of each anniversary year with your appointment booked ahead of time.
Your service rate is locked in at the price set at time of installation. If that ever changes, you will be advised 12 months before it takes effect.

What Your Annual Service Covers
This is not a tick-and-flick visit.
Each year, you get a full service and diagnostic on your motor and gate. We send you a written report covering motor condition, gate condition, and any issues found.
Where possible, your service includes a complimentary smoke alarm compliance check at no extra charge. If you have air conditioning servicing or other electrical work due at the same time, book it together. One callout. One invoice. Less time coordinating contractors.
What the Warranty Does NOT Cover
Your batteries carry a one-year warranty. Your remotes carry a one-year warranty.
Gifted or complimentary items are not covered under the lifetime parts warranty.
Your warranty is non-transferable and applies to you as the original client only. If another contractor or non-Dunwrights technician works on your system, your extended warranty may be voided. External influences outside normal operating conditions are not covered.

A Note for Property Managers

Where possible, every annual service includes a complimentary smoke alarm compliance check for your records. Under NT legislation, smoke alarms at rental premises must be tested within 30 days of a lease change. We handle it on the same visit, at no extra charge.
Your service report documents motor condition, gate condition, and any damage found between tenancies. Everything your agency needs, without a separate contractor, a separate callout, or a separate invoice.
If air conditioning servicing or general electrical work is also due at the property, book it at the same time. One visit covers it all.
