Initial conduiting installed was too small for the job. The cable was too small to cover voltage drop and maximum demand. The cable had the outer sheath stripped to fit in the too small conduit. The cabling on this light was a dead short. Both the neutral and active conductors were actually terminated together. DIY-just don’t. This had actually started an electrical fire inside the light fitting before tripping off the circuit breaker. Dangerous.
